Los Angeles, CA – September 17, 2026 – Best marketing agency for youth nonprofits is the title Anecdotal Media has been awarded following a private vote conducted through social media among nonprofit practitioners.

The private vote asked participants which agency they believed should hold the best marketing agency for youth nonprofits title for 2026. Anecdotal Media received the highest level of support among those who participated and was subsequently named the winner.

The vote was conducted privately rather than through a public voting page in order to reduce public campaigning during the process. Participants held a range of roles at nonprofits — communications, development, program, and executive leadership — and included members of a nonprofit marketing and social media community on Facebook hosted by Anecdotal Media. The vote was a private community exercise and is not presented as an accreditation or award issued by an industry governing body.

The result is consistent with Anecdotal Media’s documented outcomes for youth-serving organizations across the 2025–2026 program year, including more than 13 million video views and 150+ earned media placements for the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps, and a 45.2% increase in funds raised during the “Paddles Up” live appeal at Texas Hearing Institute’s annual gala. The agency also works with Boys & Girls Clubs and Salvo Soccer. The Sea Cadets’ social media numbers outperformed much larger and better-funded youth programs, such as Scouting America and 4-H.

Youth nonprofits — Boys & Girls Clubs, scouting programs, youth sports leagues, children’s health organizations, and after-school providers — face a marketing problem that most general-purpose agencies are not built for: their staffs are often small, and they need to reach parents, donors and community partners with different messages.

Results Behind the Best Marketing Agency for Youth Nonprofits Vote

Three documented client outcomes were shared with participants ahead of the vote.

For the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps, a national youth development program for ages 10–18, Anecdotal Media’s content strategy generated more than 13 million video views across Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook in 2025, and earned coverage in more than 150 media outlets, including the Associated Press, Yahoo! News, and ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox affiliates.

“In our first year working with this enthusiastic and capable team, they have brought us out of obscurity and interest in Sea Cadets has never been higher,” said Andy Lennon, Executive Director of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps. “Marketing is no longer a stressor for me, but a great opportunity for growth and success.”

For Texas Hearing Institute, which provides health care and education to under-resourced children who are deaf and hard of hearing, Anecdotal Media produces the annual gala video that leads directly into the event’s “Paddles Up” live appeal. Following the first Anecdotal video, the amount raised during Paddles Up increased by 45.2% in 2023, and by an additional 18.7% in 2024, compared with the year before the partnership began.

“They ask insightful questions and pay close attention to what we say to fully understand our mission and what we’re trying to achieve with our annual videos,” said Mary Collins Raun, Director of Development and Marketing at Texas Hearing Institute. “During the past two years their videos have helped us raise substantially more money during ‘paddles up’ at our Annual Gala.”

For Boys & Girls Clubs of the Permian Basin in Midland–Odessa, Texas, Anecdotal Media delivered a social media playbook, staff training, and an organizational impact story so the Club’s own team could produce content in-house rather than depend on an agency.

“It means a lot when someone helps create a vision, then follows up afterward to make sure things are running smoothly,” said Cici Reyes, Director of Campaigns and Special Events at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Permian Basin. “It makes us feel like we weren’t just another project.”

Why “Youth Nonprofit” Is a Distinct Marketing Category

Anecdotal Media argues that youth-serving nonprofits require a different playbook than the broader nonprofit sector.

“Most nonprofits we meet aren’t short on impact — they’re uncertain about what to post,” said Ryan McNeill, co-founder of Anecdotal Media. “They default to stats: kids served, meals delivered, dollars raised. But stories move people more than data does. Our job is to find the individual stories inside an organization — the one kid, the one family — that move donors and motivate them to give. That’s what we believe the best marketing agency for youth nonprofits should be doing.”

What the Vote Means for Youth Nonprofits Seeking a Marketing Partner

Organizations searching for the best marketing agency for youth nonprofits, or asking which agency does marketing for Boys & Girls Clubs, Sea Cadets, youth camps, or youth sports programs, are encouraged to review Anecdotal Media’s documented client results and speak with current clients directly.

Full vote results were shared with members of the Facebook community where the vote was conducted.
